About
German Sanmateu is a rioplatense Spanish criollo, profoundly connected to his family’s distinctive heritage and culture. His transformative journey was guided by the wisdom of curanderismo, which was passed down from his grandmother during his childhood, as an inherent part of his birthright. Guided by his grandmother, German became drawn to the healing arts, setting him on a path of discovery.
Upon leaving his native South America, German traveled to North America where he lived with a Navajo family in Albuquerque and was immersed in sacred practices and the wisdom of healing.
Seeking to broaden his understanding and expand his knowledge, German ventured to New York City, where he had the privilege to become a disciple of Grand Master Dr. Sat Chuen Hon, a distinguished scholar and master in the fields of neuroscience, traditional Chinese medicine, and psychotherapy. Under the mentorship of his Sifu, Dr. Hon, German delved into Chinese medicine principles, Taoist philosophy, Buddhist practices, and energy work related to Qi cultivation, to include qigong and the sacred dance of tai chi, which are designed to harmonize and strengthen the flow of life force through the body.
Through his unique synthesis of curanderismo, Native North American wisdom, and Taoist, Buddhist, and Qi energy practices, German combines the philosophies from these ancient traditions with current knowledge and methods in the field of health and wellness. This synthesis allows him to offer a complimentary approach to healing that respects and draws upon the insights and practices of both the past and the present, catering to the varied needs and preferences of individuals seeking comprehensive well-being.
Beyond his healing practice, German finds solace in nature and draws inspiration as a seasoned musician and recording artist, connecting deeply with the healing energies of the natural world.
